Wilda Y. Crum, 94, formally of Adams County, passed away on Monday, June 30, 2014 in the Gettysburg Lutheran Home. She was born July 10, 1919 in Gardners to the late Edward Waybright and Gertie Weidner Yengst. She was the widow of Ray K. Crum, who passed away August, 1991.
Wilda worked in the cafeteria at Knouse Foods. An active member of the Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church, she belonged to the Golden Rule Sunday School Class, and was a past member of the Ladies Aid Society. Wilda’s hobbies were flower gardening and creating crafts items, especially with pine needles.
Wilda is survived by her two daughters, Judy C. (John) Slonaker of Carlisle and Ruth A. Crum of Columbia; a son, George Edward (Linda) Crum of Carlisle; three grandchildren, Holly Wilker, Jen Slonaker and George Derek Crum; and a nephew, Paul (Anna) Group. She was predeceased by a son, Samuel J. Crum who passed away in 1965; a granddaughter, Heather Slonaker; and her sister, Helen Group.
Services will be held Monday, July 7, 2014 at 10:00 AM in the Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church, 1289 Gablers Road, Gardners, PA 17324 with Lay Leader Kenneth L. Fetters officiating. There will be a viewing one hour prior to service. Interment will be in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to her church. Arrangements are being handled by Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065.
