Warren Boyd Estep Sr., 87, passed away Tuesday August 5, at his home in Enola, PA. He was born July 31, 1927 in Hollidaysburg, to the late Clarence B. and Nancy Stewart Estep.
He graduated from the Lewistown High School in 1945 and married Barbara Ann Taylor on February 26, 1949. He retired from Gulf Oil Corp and the US Army War College. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and traveling. He was a U.S. Navy Seabee veteran during WWII and served with pride in Okinawa and China. He was a member of the Shiremanstown United Methodist Church, BPOE #578, the West Shore Lodge # 681 F&AM, receiving his third degree in Harrisburg. He was a life member of Mechanicsburg VFW and the American Legion. He was also a member of the Island X1 Seabees of America, and a charter member of the WW II Memorial.
He is survived by his wife Barbara Ann and son Jerry Lee (Joann) of Enola, two sisters Beverly Burdette of Schwenksville and Barbara Nevara of San Diego, CA; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sons, Warren B. Jr. and Richard A.
Funeral services will be held Monday August 11, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 N. Baltimore Ave. Mt. Holly Springs, PA with a viewing from 10:00AM until 11:00AM, Burial will be at 2:00PM Monday in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
