Verna J. Highlands

Verna J. Highlands, 83, of Carlisle, PA, passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2023. She was born April 19, 1940, in Carlisle to the late Laverne and Edith (Shughart) Saphore.

Verna retired from Carlisle Tire and Wheel Company in Carlisle. She enjoyed home crafts, taking care of her dogs Rosie and Lucy, and visiting her numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving are her sons, Rick E. Kuhn, Michael K. Highlands, James R. Highlands, John E. Highlands; and sisters, June Kuhn, Doris Clark, Carolyn Smith, Resta Cheng, and Joyce Warren. In addition to her parents, Verna was preceded in death by her son, Dennis L. Kuhn.

Memorial Services will be held Friday, July 28, 2023, at 1:00 PM in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 501 N. Baltimore Ave, Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065 with Rev. Richard L. Reese officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the services. Burial will be held in Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle, immediately following services.
