Veda J. Adams

Veda J. Adams, 96, of Carlisle, PA, passed away on March 23, 2025, in the Thornwald Nursing Home. She was born October 3, 1928, in New Bloomfield, PA, to the late Heston and Myrtle (Dile) Clegg.

Veda was a New Bloomfield graduate class of 1946 and worked at A & P Store in Carlisle. She was a member of the Lighthouse Church of God in Carlisle and enjoyed being outdoors, hiking, and going to her church.

Surviving are her children, Debra Adams and Stanley Adams (Barbara), all of Carlisle; grandchild, Jill Adams of Mechanicsburg; and great grandchildren, Zachary Beam. In addition to her parents, Veda was preceded in death by her daughter, Denita Adams; thirteen brothers and sisters, Ora, Mary, Pearl, John, Erla, Brooks, Vernon, Sylvia, Edward, Gloria, Hilda, Francis, and Hugh.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 1:00 PM in the Lighthouse Church of God, 910 Cavalry Rd, Carlisle, PA 17013 with the Pastors of Lighthouse Church of God officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church, Lighthouse Church of God.
