Thomas Nelson, 64, of Mt. Holly Springs, PA passed away Sunday, May 13, 2018, at his residence. He was born November 9, 1953 in Carlisle to the late John M. and Dorothy L. (Rupp) Nelson.
Thomas worked for IBM as a manager and also Arnold Logistics. He was very musically talented, playing several instruments. Thomas was in the Carlisle High School Marching Band and was a member of the Galaxies, where he played the saxophone. He took over and ran the Nelsons Barber Shop, Mt. Holly Springs since his parents passing. He always loved to play horse shoes.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Sharon (Eickhoff) Nelson of Mt. Holly Springs; three children, Renee Kane and husband, Kenneth of Newburg, Christopher Nelson Sr. and wife, Stacy of Newville and Jamie Ott and husband, Rickie of Mt. Holly Springs; grandchildren, Amber Ing and husband, Daniel, Tashia Metzger and husband, Jarad, Paige Finkenbinder, Christopher Nelson Jr. and Seth Alfery; step-grandchildren, Heather Sampson and Astian, Ayla and Rickie Ott; and 7 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his extended family, which consist of two brothers, three sisters and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065 with Rev. Richard L. Reese. A viewing will be held 10:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will be held in the Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be made at www.hollingerfuneralhome.com.
