Thomas Brandt

Thomas Roger Brandt, 71, of Boiling Springs, PA went to be with his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, September 9, 2015. He was born September 15, 1943 in Carlisle, PA.

He is survived by his mother, Esther Harry Brandt; his wife, Pamela Wise Brandt; a daughter, Wendy Brandt (Dave) Witmer; a son, Jason W. Brandt and fiancé, Kim Manbeck; and 2 stepsons, Tawn and Scott Morrison. Also surviving are 2 granddaughters, Amy Witmer and LeAnn Witmer Lehman; 3 step grandchildren, Ashleigh, Jaden and Sammy Morrison; 3 great grandsons, Luke and Ryan Lehman and Max Witmer; a sister, Kay Brandt (Bill) Tanger; a brother, Jack (Jean) Brandt; 4 nieces; and 5 nephews. Tom was predeceased by his father, Lawrence Brandt; a brother, Donald Brandt; and a nephew, Donny Brandt.

Tom worked in construction and then managed the Gulf and the Phillips 66 Gas Stations, both in Boiling Springs. He retired from AMP Inc. in September 1998 and was the founder of Brandt’s Sign Shop. Tom had a love for racing, and enjoyed drag racing with his brothers at Quarter Aces drag strip and dirt track racing with his family and friends. He was the owner of a Super Sportsman and a 358 Limited Sprint, and wrenched on his son’s 305 Sprint Car. Tom loved watching NASCAR, collecting antiques and building things; he especially enjoyed woodworking.

Services will be held Monday, September 14, 2015 at 12 Noon in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065 with the Pastor Dick Warner officiating. There will be a viewing from 10:00 AM until the service. Interment will be in the Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle, PA.
