Terry Barrick

Terry Lee Barrick, 66, passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at the Hershey Medical Center. He was born August 26, 1948 in Carlisle to Evelyn Sheriff Barrick of Carlisle and the late Calvin A. Barrick Jr.

Terry served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War and then the Army National Guard of Cumberland Co. for 25 years. He was a supply manager at the Carlisle Commissary for the Federal Government. Active in sports, he coached for the Middlesex Youth Baseball Assoc. for 25 years and also coached the CV Girl’s Softball team. Terry was a loving husband, devoted father and attentive grandfather.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife, Cathy J. Blocherer Allen – Barrick of Carlisle; 4 sons, Scott Barrick of Carlisle, Jerry (Melisse) Barrick of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Brian (Wendy) Barrick of Mechanicsburg and Scott (Tricia) Allen of Westchester; his only daughter, Hayley Barrick and her companion William Cervantes of Carlisle, PA; and dear uncle “Pappy.” Also surviving are 4 sisters; 1 brother; 11 grandchildren and I great grandchild.

Services will be held Friday, February 20, 2015 in his church, Middlesex United Methodist Church, 118 N. Middlesex Road, Carlisle, PA 17013 at 5 PM with Rev. Jan Hughes officiating. A visitation will be held from 4 PM until the service time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his church. Arrangements are being handled by the Hollinger Funeral Home in Mt.
