Sylvia Fahnestock

Sylvia V. Fahnestock, 81, formerly of Newport and Perry Village passed away December 6, 2013 in the Holy Spirit Hospital. She was born May 29, 1932 in Summerdale to the late Charles J. and Irene B. Smith Trout. She was a life member of the Newport American Legion # 177 Ladies Auxiliary, and she was a seamstress, loved to crochet and put puzzles together.

Survived by her daughter, Rose Dietz of Newport; and three sons, Nevin H. of Marysville, Carl E. of York Haven and Scott A. of Newport; there are seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and two great great  grandchildren; four brothers and two sisters.

Services will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Newport Ambulance, Third St. Newport, PA 17074.
