Susan L. Cline

Susan L. Cline, 76, of Mechanicsburg, PA, passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2023, in the UPMC West Shore Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born December 21, 1946, in Harrisburg to the late George H. and Margaret L. (Shipley) Shearer. 

Susan had 30 years of service working in PA State Government. Susan worked in the Governor’s Employment Office and in the Department of Revenue with offices in both Harrisburg and Pittsburgh.   She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Carlisle. Susan enjoyed gardening, crafting and scrapbooking.  One of Susan’s greatest joys in her later years was spending time with her grandchildren.   She was totally involved in each of her grandchildren’s evolving and ever-changing interests.

Surviving is her husband of 47 years, Dale L. Cline of Mechanicsburg; children: Michael (Yanira) Viti of New Cumberland, Vickie (Scott) Gesford of Harrisburg; and Bruce Cline of St. Augustine, FL; five grandchildren:  Amanda and Michael Viti, Brooke, Haley, and Peyton Gesford; great grandchildren: Isabella and Sophia Viti and Tyreik Scott Williams. In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by her daughter, Christi Viti.
