Stuart Fanus

Stuart H. Fanus, 65, of Big Spring Terrace,  Newville passed away Saturday, June 22 in the Forest Park Health Care Center, Carlisle. He was born October 22, 1947 in Carlisle to the late Russell and Verna Shoap Fanus. Stuart was employed by Ross Distribution and was a former employee of Carlisle Tire & Wheel and Sunnyside Restaurant. He loved to roller skate, pitch horse shoes and collected antiques.  Watching NASCAR, especially Jeff Gordan and Dale Earnhart, were one of his favorite pastimes.

He is survived by two sisters, Shirley (Albert) Sowers of Mt. Holly Springs and Patricia (Charles) Folk of Las Cruses, New Mexico; two brothers, Dennis Fanus and of Carlisle and Ronald (Liz) Fanus of Boiling Springs , his companion, Melanie Bream; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held Monday, July 1 at 11:00 AM in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs with the Rev. Richard L. Reese officiating. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Uriah Church Cemetery, Gardners.
