Stanley Bupp

Stanley Albert Bupp, 85, of Gardners passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2015 in his home. He was born January 14, 1930 to the late Paul and Edith Kline Bupp in Latimore Twp., Adams Co. Stanley was married 44 years to Dolores H. Bupp who passed away December 12, 2001.

Stanley attended the Hickory Point School and became a life long farmer and logger. He was Huntington Township Supervisor from 1961-1977 and an employee of the township from 1986-2010. Stanley was a member of the PA Farm Bureau and Ye Olde Sulphur Spa Historical Society.  He attended many churches but most recently the Upper Bermudian Lutheran Church. Stanley enjoyed hunting, spending time with his family, and sharing stories with everyone.

He is survived by a son, Roger A. (Kay) Bupp of Gardners; 3daughters, Norma J. Bupp, Teresa B. (Phillip) Frankford and Tracy L. (Troy) Wolf all of Gardners; 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Stanley is also survived by 3 brothers, Kenneth R., Paul J. and Dale E. Bupp also of Gardners; 3 sisters, Lucille M. Bupp and Josephine W. Bredbenner both of Gardners and Doris B. Kendall of Mt. Holly Springs; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by an infant daughter and a sister, Beverly A. Burton.  Stanley’s family would like to express their sincerest thanks to his caregivers, Joyce Sowers of Gardners and Penny Davis of York Springs as well as SpiriTrust Lutheran Homecare Hospice.

Services will be held Tuesday, June 16, 2015 in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Phillip Frankford Jr., Rev. Ryan Frankford and Rev. Dale Bupp officiating. Visitation will be Monday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contribution may be made to his church, 185 Ground Oak Church Rd., Gardners, PA  17324 or the Historical Society, PO Box 161, York Springs, PA 17372 .
