Shirley Peck

Shirley E. Peck, 78, of S. Middleton Twp., Gardners, passed away Thursday at her home.  She was the widow of Robert L. Peck who passed away October 31, 2000. Shirley was born October 21, 1934 in Adams County to the late Archie and Marie Gardner Starner.
Shirley and her late husband were the former owners of the Peck’s Septic Service. Shirley was an avid reader, a good cook for her family and friends, and a good listener. She attended Mt. Victory United Methodist Church and loved her five cats.
She is survived by her son Kenneth L. (Tammy) Peck; a granddaughter, Sarah (companion Andrew); and a grandson, Andrew (Tessa), all of Gardners. Also surviving are two brothers, Leroy and Paul Starner and two sisters, Joyce Neace and Janet Smith. She was predeceased by her brother Rodney Starner Sr.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 N. Baltimore Ave. Mt. Holly Springs with Rev. Richard L. Reese officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Victory Cemetery. A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to services on Tuesday.
