Shirley Ordway

Shirley L. Ordway, 81, of Carlisle, PA, passed away Monday, August 27, 2018 in the Select Specialty Hospital, York. She was born May 22, 1937 in Middletown, PA to the late George and Mary (Etter) Kane.

Shirley retired from the Green Ridge Village, where she worked in housekeeping and enjoyed reading in her spare time.

She is survived by her loving husband, Lamar Ordway of Carlisle; son,  Aaron L. Ordway and wife, Debbee of Windsor; granddaughter, Denise Ordway of Camp Hill; and siblings, George Kane of OR, Carol Blosser of Carlisle and Arlene Miller of Boiling Springs. Shirley was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Angela Ordway and siblings, Marilyn Miller, Robert, Paul, James and Richard Kane.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Spring Hill Cemetery, 114 N. Morris St., Shippensburg, PA 17257. An animal lover, especially her own pets, Shirley requested memorial contributions may be made to The Nobody's Cats Foundation, 3909 Hartzdale Dr., Camp Hill, PA, 17011.
