Shirley Ann Miller, 81, of Carlisle, PA, passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, in her residence. She was born February 10, 1942, in Carlisle to the late Chester and Thelma (Quigley) Romberger and was the widow of J. Elvin Miller, who passed away on July 18, 2020. She was previously married to Dick Barnhart.
Shirley was a Carlisle High School graduate, class of 1960. She was an office manager at the Zembo Temple and a clerk at Weis Markets, where many people made it a point to get in her checkout line to socialize with her.
Shirley loved to work and socialize with people. She was giving, caring, loving and felt blessed for her family and many friends. She loved driving her golf cart around the neighborhood and going to auctions.
She is survived by her loving children, Craig Barnhart (wife Nancy) of New Cumberland and Tye Barnhart (wife Tammy) of New Freedom, PA; grandchildren, Grant, and Gracen Barnhart; and brother, Chester Romberger (wife Amy) of Lompoc, California.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, January 29, 2024, at 11:00 AM in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 501 N. Baltimore Ave, Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065 with Rev. Randall Zook officiating. A viewing will be held one hour prior to service and Entombment will be held in the Rolling Green Mausoleum in Camp Hill.
