Sandra K. Harding

Sandra K. (Jacobs) Harding, 73, of York, PA, passed away on February 27, 2024, in the Country Meadows of Mechanicsburg assisted living facility. She was born August 25, 1950, in York to the late Melvin J. Jacobs and Janet M. (Bortner) Hughes.

Sandra retired after 34 years of public education which included experience at every education level in several school districts.  The majority of her career was spent teaching in bilingual classrooms in the English Language Learners Program at the School District of Lancaster. After retirement, she volunteered at Estamos Unidos De PA, Friends of the Disabled Latin America, and Carlisle Community C.A.R.E.S. She was also a member of St. Johns Episcopal Church in Carlisle. 

Surviving are her children, Ryan C. Tucker (April) of Los Angeles, CA, Angela R. Hull (Matthew) of York; grandchildren, Larson and Nolan Hull, and Jackson Tucker; siblings, Daniel Jacobs, Bradley M. Jacobs (Judy), Michael Jacobs (Christine), Sharon M. Evans (Jonathan) and Terry Jacobs PHD (Karen).

Memorial Service will be held Thursday, March 7, 2024, at 11:00 AM in the St. Johns Episcopal Church, 1 a N Hanover St, Carlisle, PA 17013. A visitation will be held one hour prior to services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to FRIDLA (Friends of the Disabled Latin America, Inc.), 310 Bryant Blvd, Rock Hill, SC 29732, or Carlisle Community C.A.R.E.S, 50 W.
