Samuel K. Bohn, 89, of New Cumberland and formerly of Everett, PA entered into eternal rest on Monday, January 8, 2018. He was born on August 2, 1928 in Gardners, PA and was the son of George W. and Ruth (Kuhn) Bohn. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Lois and two very special brothers, Charlie and George Bohn.
He leaves to cherish his memory a son, Sam (Kathy); a daughter, Linda; grandchildren, Ryan (Alicia), Gary (Lauren); great-grandchildren, Owen, Siena, and Annabelle; sisters, Betty, Sarah (Bill) and many other loving relatives.
Sam was a graduate of Boiling Springs High School and business school. He began his career in banking at the Carlisle Trust Company as a teller and loan officer. His love for this career led him to further his education at the Rutgers Stonier Graduate School of Banking. Through his hard work and dedication, in later years, Sam then became the president of the Everett Bank in Everett, PA. Sam and Lois loved this wonderful town and were very happy there for many years with their many special friends, neighbors, and community friendships.
Throughout his life, Sam enjoyed serving his community in various capacities on many committees and boards. He was an active member of the Everett United Methodist church and later on, Eberly's Mill Church of God. Sam was an avid lover of tennis, golf, and Hershey chocolate bars. He loved to sing and enjoyed his barbershop quartet group and later in life, singing in the church choir.
Sam's greatest joy was spending time with and taking care of his family. There are so many fond memories of family get-togethers, annual family beach trips, and day trips traveling around the countryside that he cherished very much.
We have been forever blessed with a loving father who cared deeply for his family demonstrating his love each and every day. He was an inspiration, a dedicated and devoted husband, father, and grandfather who will be deeply missed. Dad, you were the best father in the entire world and for all of time!
