Ruth Lobaugh

Ruth Elizabeth G. Lobaugh, 95, formerly of Aspers, passed away Thursday, August 7, 2014 at the Laurel Run Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Fayetteville, PA.  She was born March 24, 1919 in Huntington Twp, Adams County, PA, to the late Curtis and Elsie Meals Golden.  Ruth was the widow of Adam Lobaugh who passed away December 1, 2011. She was the oldest member of the Upper Bermudian Lutheran Church, was a member of the Ladies Aide Society and belonged to the York Springs Senior Citizens. Ruth loved to read and liked to spend time in her garden.

She is survived by her son, Phillip L. (Colleen) Lobaugh of Chambersburg and her daughter, Dawn L. (Frank) Bodenberg of Gettysburg. Ruth dearly loved her four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was last surviving of her family and was predeceased by Peal Hykes, Kent, Clyde, George Sr. Golden, and Katherine Glass.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday August 12, 2014 at 11:00AM, in her church at 185 Ground Oak Church Rd., Gardners, PA 17324 with the Rev. David Clark officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to her church.
