Russell Swartz Jr.

Russell M. Swartz Jr., 79, of Carlisle, PA passed away Saturday, February 11, 2017 in the Carlisle Regional Medical Center. He was born November 25, 1937 in Plainfield, PA to the late Russell Sr. and Mary E. Yarlett Swartz. He was the widower of Mary C. Swartz who passed away March 12, 2008 and was married to her for forty years. Russell retired as a foreman from the Asplungh Tree Company, Mechanicsburg and was a member of the Eagles Lodge # 1299 and the White Circle Club. He was an avid bowler and he loved his best friend and companion, his dog Max. Russ also called BINGO at One West Penn, Monday nights.

Surviving Russell are his children; son, Edward (Kelly) Ellis of Carlisle, and five daughters; Jennifer (Kurt) Helton of Carlisle, Lisa (Robert) Weller of Newville, Judy (Jim) Pine of Carlisle, Kathy Miller who was the widow of Marlin of Newville and Debbie (Scott) Keller of Mt. Holly Springs; 16 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Also, five sisters, Nancy Johnson of IL, Helen and Shirley Myers of Carlisle, Donna Chronister of Carlisle and Doris Conklin of Plainfield. He was predeceased by his brother, Edgar Swartz.
