Russell Motter

Russell L. Motter, 84, of Mt. Holly Springs, PA, passed away Monday, March 2, 2015 in his home. He was born December 11, 1930 in Mt. Holly Springs to the late Richard L. and Lena Mae Miller Motter, and was the widower of the late Winifred L. Carbaugh Motter who passed away July 19, 2007.

Russell was retired from the South Middleton Twp. Road Crew. He was a member of the Carlisle First Church of God and he loved to mow grass. Russell served in the United States Marines Corp during the Korean War from 1952 to 1954.

He is survived by his daughter, Carolyn (Carol) L. (John) Diehl; granddaughter, Stacy L. (Eric) Diehl-Durham, all of Mt. Holly Springs; and his favorite dog and companion “Ally.”

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 7, 2015 in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065 with Rev. Michael R. Poe officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Cumberland County Honor Guard. There will be a viewing prior to the service beginning at 9:30 AM until the service time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity.
