Roy Manderbach Jr.

Roy Grover Manderbach Jr., 88, of Lemoyne, PA, passed away Saturday January 31, 2015 in the Golden Living Center, Camp Hill. He was born March 28, 1926 in Reading, PA to the late Roy Sr. and Pauline Wilhelm Manderbach. He is predeceased by his wife of 57 years Rosella Kaplan Manderbach who passed away December 14, 2014. Roy retired from the US Army in 1971 and the New Cumberland Army Depot in 1978. He was a member of the Salem United Church of Christ serving as Deacon, Elder and Trustee.  Member of the American Legion # 109 and the VFW # 674, life member of National Uniform Services, manager of the Mechanicsburg Senior Center Softball Team, he participated in the Senior Olympics, member of the West Shore Chapter Hall of Fame, Amateur Softball Assoc. of America and the United States Golf Assoc.   A US Army veteran, Roy served in WWII, the Korean and Vietnam Wars.

He is survived by three daughters; Sharon (Don) Corbin of Danville, CA, Judith (Lee) Seitz of Mechanicsburg, PA and Marilyn (Lynn) Tressler of Milmont, PA.  Also surviving are 4 grandchildren, Daniel & Bryan Corbin, Amanda (Kraig) Kemp and Joshua (Miranda) Seitz;  2 great grandchildren, Kaden & Kolton Kemp; a brother, Richard (Helen) Manderbach of Oley, PA and; two sisters, Martha Pilbeam of Toledo, OH and Carol (Michael) Joseph of Washington DC. He was predeceased by a brother, David Manderbach.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 5, at 9:30 AM in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 N. Baltimore Ave. Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065 with Rev. Ryan Travis officiating. There will be a viewing from 9:00AM until the service.  Memorial contributions may be made to his church, Salem United Church of Christ, 231 Chestnut St., Harrisburg, PA 17101.
