Ronald Zimmerman

Ronald L. "Tuff" Zimmerman, 76, of Dillsburg, PA passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Claremont Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Carlisle, PA. He was born November 21, 1939 in Mechanicsburg, PA to the late George and Florence Swonger Zimmerman.

Ronald retired as a butcher from Weis Markets in Weigelstown. He was a member of the Mechanicsburg American Legion Post # 109 and the Mechanicsburg Club where he also was the cook. He loved to go camping and traveling, especially going on cruises.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Zimmerman of Dillsburg; daughters, Patty K. Flemister of Harrisburg, Peggy A. Radenhaber of Steeleton and Pamela Zimmerman of Enola; stepsons, Scott E. Kitzmiller of Ickesburg and Keith A. Kitzmiller of Mooredale. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; brothers, Robert Zimmerman of CT, William Zimmerman of Gardners and Leroy Zimmerman of Carlisle; and a sister, Ada Lynn of Mechanicsburg. Ronald was predeceased by siblings, Larry Zimmerman, Donald Zimmerman, Harold Powell and Betty Huey.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 23, 2016 at  11:00 AM in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065 with  Chaplain Neil McCulloch officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Homeland Hospice, 2300 Vartan Way, Suite 115, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
