Ronald Wolfe

Ronald C. Wolfe, 77, of Gardners, PA passed away in the Carlisle Regional Medical Center on Friday, December 5, 2014. He was born December 20, 1936 in Carlisle to the late Donald C. and Sara Bentsel Wolfe and was the widower of Betty J. Wolfe who passed away on November 18, 2014 after 57 years of marriage.

He was the owner and operator of the Ron Wolfe Excavating Company and was a former supervisor and worked in various capacities for Dickinson Twp. from 1983 to 2007. Ron was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church. Always active and enjoying the outdoors, he loved boating, fishing, gardening, playing baseball, bowling and riding his Harley.

Ronald is survived by two nieces; Linda and her husband Alphonso Russell of Raeford, NC and Donna Thomas of Dillsburg; great nephew, Joseph L. Koproski III; great niece, Rachel Jarabeck; and a great great nephew, Adam Jarabeck; and numerous cousins. He was predeceased by his brothers, Donald I. and Leon B. Wolfe and a sister, Florence (Irene) Clark.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 10:00 AM in the St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 West Louther St., Carlisle, PA 17013 with the Rev. Carol J. Bowman officiating. There will be a visitation from 9:30 until 10:00 AM. Interment will be in the Mt. Victory Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to his church or to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
