Ronald Bogar Deibler, 82, of Boiling Springs, PA, passed away on December 23, 2024, in his home. He was born April 3, 1942, in Sunbury, PA, to the late Richard B. and Helen (Bogar) Deibler.
Ronald was a science teacher for South Middleton School District middle school. He was a graduate of Shippensburg University where he received his master’s in education. Ronald was a member of the Elks Lodge Post 0578 in Carlisle. Ron was a devoted husband, father, and friend who lived a life full of love, dedication, and unwavering support. A high school sweetheart to his beloved wife for 60 years, he built a life together with her filled with shared memories, laughter, and a deep bond that only grew stronger with time. As a father, Ron was always there for his children, offering guidance, love, and encouragement every step of the way. He had a passion for sports, especially when it came to Philadelphia teams and Penn State, and loved nothing more than talking about games, players, and memorable moments.
Ron was the best Papa to Haley and Alex. Known for his unwavering love and support, he was a constant presence at his grandchildren's sporting events and school activities, always cheering them on with pride and joy. His genuine enthusiasm for their accomplishments and his warm, encouraging spirit made him a cherished figure in their lives. Whether in the stands at a game or in the audience at a school performance, he was their biggest fan, always there to celebrate their victories and lift them up in times of challenge. His love for family extended to cherished beach vacations and spring breaks in Key Largo, where he created countless memories with his loved ones. These trips were filled with laughter, stories, and his trademark sense of humor. His deep affection for his family, his kindness, and his dedication to being present for those he loved will be missed by all who knew him. His unwavering commitment to being present for his family, combined with his warmth, kindness, and infectious joy, will leave an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. He has impacted so many in so many ways, whether knowing him from the Boiling Springs Pool, a student or colleague in South Middleton School District, friends from Key Largo, and his countless friends nearby, he will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, telling a good story and having a good time will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to share in his life.
Ron would not want us to be sad, but think of all the happy memories of him.
Surviving is his loving wife, Darlene Deibler, of Boiling Springs; children, Michael A. (Wendy) Deibler of Mechanicsburg and Melicia S. (Ed) Widmer of Camp Hill; and grandchildren, Haley and Alex Widmer.
