Roger Stambaugh

Roger G. Stambaugh, 79, of Carlisle, PA passed away, Thursday, October 8, 2015 in his home. Born to the late Mac and Dorothy Gates Stambaugh in Carlisle, PA on December 29, 1935, Roger was the former owner and operator of the Bar B Que Tavern and the former owner of Cold Springs Inn. He loved harness racing and was a member of the U.S. Trotting Assoc. Roger was also a member of the Mt. Holly Springs VFW #7343 and the Family Order of Moose in West Virginia. An outdoorsmen, Roger enjoyed fishing and hunting. He served in the National Guard.

Roger is survived by his wife of 55 years, E. Maxine Warner Stambaugh; his daughter, Vicki A. (Larry) Mullins; two grandchildren, Kile and Nicole; and great grandson, Zachary all of Carlisle. Also surviving are two sisters, Lois Ann Kelly and Joan Sheriff, both of Boiling Springs and several nieces and nephews; and his beloved puppy Levi. He was predeceased by his brother, Robert Stambaugh.

The funeral service will be held Monday, October 12, 2015 at 12 Noon in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065 with the Rev. Jeff Gibelius officiating. Interment will be in the Letort Cemetery.
