Rodney Lee Shields, 71, of Mt. Holly Springs, PA, passed away on August 14, 2024, in the Penn State Health Hampden Medical Center, Enola. He was born August 8, 1953, in Carlisle to the late Harold and Virginia (Martin) Shields.

Rodney worked for Ahlstrom Munksjo paper mill in Mt. Holly Springs.

Surviving Rodney is his daughter, Jody Shields-Gibson of Mt. Holly Springs; grandchildren, Dylan Gibson, Aynslie and Eliza Crozier; siblings, Harold “Butch” (Mary) Shields, Jr., Dennis “Denny” (Tammy) Shields, Lorrie (Dave) Simon, and Kristie (Leroy) Sheriff; and numerous nieces, nephews, and many close friends. In addition to his parents, Rodney was preceded in death by his brother, Scott Shields.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at 11:00 AM in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 501 N. Baltimore Ave, Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065 with Pastor Dustin Kipe officiating. A viewing will be held Tuesday, August 20, 2024, from 6-8 PM in the Hollinger Funeral Home and burial will be held in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a SPCA of your choice, as Rodney loved his dogs. Visit HollingerFuneralHome.com to offer condolences to the family.
