Robert Lee Shenk

Robert Lee Shenk, 85, of Carlisle, PA, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2024, in the UPMC Harrisburg Hospital. He was born December 10, 1938, to the late R. Paul Shenk and Esther (Cline) Shenk Miller and the husband of the late Barbara (Hess) Shenk, who passed away in November of 2015.

Lee was a Boiling Springs High School, class of 1956 graduate. He retired from the Sheet Metal Workers, Local 19, with 27 years of service. Lee was a member of the Church of the Brethren, Huntsdale where he was a Sunday School teacher and Deacon. He was a life member of the Boiling Springs Fire Company, National Rifle Association, Shippensburg Historical Society, Carlisle Lodge Post 260, F & A.M in Carlise, and the National Guard in Carlisle for 9 years.

Surviving Lee are his children, Tracy (Thomas) Meyer of Idaho, Jeffrey D. (Kim) Shenk of Mt. Holly Springs, Ward A. (Lina) Shenk of Lower Gwynedd, PA, and Wayne A. (Maria) Shenk of Harrisburg; five grandchildren and one great grandchild; brothers, Carl L. (Mary Lea) Shenk, and Harold E. (Virginia) Shenk both of Carlisle.

Memorial Services will be held Friday, June 21, 2024, at 11:00 AM in the Huntsdale Church of the Brethren, 170 Church Road, Carlisle, PA 17015 with Pastors Darlene and Clarence Stouffer officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place in the Church cemetery, immediately following the service.
