Robert Powell

Robert E. Powell, 86, of South Middleton Twp., Mt. Holly Springs passed away Saturday morning, June 1, 2013 in the Forest Park Health Center, Carlisle. He was the widower of Edna Mae Powell who passed away November 1, 2010. He was born September 10, 1926 in Roxbury, PA to the late Raymond and Maude Sentzman Powell.

Bob retired from the former McCoy Electronics. He was a member of the Shippensburg American Legion, the Mt. Holly Springs VFW # 7343 and the Eagles Arie # 1299.

He was survived by his daughter, Jackie P. (Glenn) Turley of Mt. Holly Springs and two foster sons, Gregory L. Warner Sr. of Georgia and Sidney B. Warner of Lancaster, and a grandson, two great grandchildren, and four foster grandchildren. Bob was predeceased by his brothers, Donald and Charles Powell and three sisters: Gertrude Hollar, Mary Watson and Dorothy Finkey.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 5 at 10:00 AM in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs with the Rev. Richard L. Reese officiating. Interment will be in the Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens. There will be a viewing Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 PM in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mt.
