Robert Lynn

Robert W. Lynn, 80, of Newville, PA,  passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at the UPMC Pinnacle Carlisle. Robert was born March 11, 1937 in Harrisburg, PA to the late John F. and M. Elizabeth (Shadle) Lynn. He is the widower of Doris A. Lynn, who passed away in January of this year.

Robert was a US Air Force Jet Engine Technician for 31 years and served in the US Marine Corp for 2 years. He served during Vietnam and the Persian Gulf War in Grenada and Panama. Robert also worked as a driver for Roadway Express.

Surviving are his children, Jon R. Lynn and wife, Julie A. of Felton, DE, Debra A. Dunleavy and husband, Michael of Coatesville, PA and Wendy L. Marshall and husband, David of Duncannon, PA; 5 grandchildren, Christopher, Nicholas and Stephanie Lynn, Matthew Marshall and Michaela Dunleavy; and siblings, Thomas C. Lynn and Patricia Galloway, both of Newville, PA.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place in the Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens with Military Honors provided by the Cumberland County Honor Guard. Memorial Contributions may be made to the BigSpring Fish & Game, 20 Fish & Game Dr., Newville, PA 17241. Arrangements are being handled by the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065.
