Robert James Hockley

Robert James Hockey, 75, of Gardners, PA, passed away on August 27, 2024, in the UPMC Carlisle Hospital. He was born June 7, 1949, in Carlisle to the late William and Doris Hockley.

Robert was a member of the American Legion Post 674 and the Fire Police both in Mt. Holly Springs. He was a truck driver all his life and later retired from Pitzer trucking.

Surviving is his loving wife, Helen (Myers) Hockley of Gardners; children, Robert Sponseller of Hanover, Robin Klunk of New Oxford, and James Hockley of Millerstown; grandson, Landin Hockley and RJ Sponseller; siblings, Bill, Randy, and John Hockley, and Cindy (Hockley) Bernhisel. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Sierra Hockley.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled by Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Mt. Holly Springs.
