R. Jane Cassidy

R. Jane Crum Lewis Cassidy, 82, of Gardners, PA, passed away Monday, September 16, 2019 in the Forest Park Health Center, Carlisle. She was born March 8, 1937 in Gardners, PA to the late James and Nellie Howe Crum. Jane graduated from the Boiling Springs High School and Kutztown University, and received her teacher’s certification from West Chester College. She taught for 20 years at many schools in Pennsylvania.

Jane attended the Uriah United Methodist Church and was a member of the United Methodist Women. She participated in the Ladies Sunday School Class and helped make Easter eggs each year.

Surviving is her cousin, Bonnie (Roger) Sowers of Gardners, longtime friend, Jessie Taylor of Mt. Holly Springs and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Sunday, September 22, 2019 at 3:00 PM in the Uriah United Methodist Church, 925 Goodyear Rd., Gardners, PA 17324 with Rev. Andrew L. Ervin officiating. All are invited after the service to the church social hall for refreshments and fellowship. Interment will be held in the Fairview Cemetery, Arendtsville, PA at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be to her church. Arrangements are being handled by the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065.
