Richard Kuntz

Richard L. Kuntz, 83, formerly of Gardners, PA passed away Saturday, March 15, 2014 in the Church of God Home, Carlisle. He was born July 28, 1930 in Gardners to the late Jacob and Edith Murray Kuntz and was predeceased by his wife, Ruth Ann Beam Kuntz who died February 28, 2012.

An outdoorsman, Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing and hiking. His garden, the “Truck Patch” was a favorite pastime during the warm weather. He retired from Maslands in Carlisle with 43 years of service where he was a member of the bowling team earning several trophies. Richard dearly loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Richard is survived by his son, Richard L. Kuntz and his wife Linda of Gardners; a grandson, Keith Kuntz and his wife Danielle of Cary, NC; a granddaughter, Kimberly White and her partner Bryan Smith of Boiling Springs; a brother, Ronald Kuntz of Mt. Holly Springs and 5 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister, Marie Negley and a brother, Donald Kuntz.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA with the Rev. Richard L. Reese officiating. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Church of God Home, 801 N.
