Rhoda Kenes

Rhoda M. Kenes, 94, of Carlisle, PA, passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2019. Born in Upton, PA on July 16, 1925 to the late Rev. Earl W. and Ethel M.(Group) Winand, she was the widow of Joseph Kenes who passed away April 16, 2007.

Rhoda was a graduate of Columbia High School and retired from the General State Authority where she was employed as a secretary.  One of her many talents was her ability to minister to people through her piano playing. She taught Sunday school for many years and loved to crochet and knit items for those in need.

Surviving are her sons, Rev. James E. Kenes and his wife, Dorothy of North Port, FL  and Ronald J. Kenes and his wife, Karen of Carlisle, PA. In addition, she is survived by six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Rhoda was predeceased by five sisters.
