Ray Wenger

Ray Oliver Wenger, 78, of Dillsburg, PA, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2021 in the Holy Spirit Medical Center. He was born in Dillsburg on September 5, 1942 to the late Oliver and Gretna (Albert) Wenger.

Ray worked as a plumber for Herre Brothers and was a member of Local 520 Pipe Fitters Union. He was a member of the Mt. Holly Springs Church of God and loved and worshipped God with his whole heart. Ray enjoyed traveling to the family cabin, hunting, helping anyone who needed him and spending time with his family.

Surviving is his loving wife of 61 years, Theda (Vaughn) Wenger; children, Tammy Strayer (Michael) of Dillsburg, Teresa Pifer (Brian) of York Springs and Ray A. Wenger (Lisa) of Dillsburg; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and sister, Leota Negley of Dillsburg. Ray was preceded in death by siblings, Melvin, Ralph, Ken, Francis, and Wayne Wenger, Freda Sheets, and June Taylor.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Holly Springs Church of God, 602 McLand Dr., Mt.
