Rachael Antoinette Werking

Rachael Antoinette Werking, 98, of Carlisle, PA, passed away on Monday, March 21, 2022, in ProMedica Skilled Nursing, Carlisle. She was born February 12, 1924, in York, PA, to the late William A. and Elga O. (Carlson) Garrett.

She did Clerical work for the State Government and was a self-employed antiques dealer and beloved caretaker.

She is survived by her two children, Deborah Faught of Carlisle and Brenda Lee Bell of Lynchburg, TN; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughters Patrice Middlekauff and Gail Annette Phillippy; and siblings, Janet Jessop, Gail Deitrich, Harriet Fritsching, and Dorothy Boone.

A Graveside Service will be held Monday, March 28, 2022, at 10:00 AM in the Mt. Rose Cemetery, 502 Mt. Rose Ave., York PA, 17403 with Rev. Dr. Anne W. Stewart officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, 4301 Wilson Blvd., Suite 300, Arlington, VA 22203.
