Phyllis C. Burton, 56, of Carlisle, PA passed away March 27, 2021 in the UPMC West Shore, Mechanicsburg, PA. She was born September 5, 1964 in Coatesville, PA to the late Philip and Melvenia (Spencer) Burton Sr.
Surviving are her loving daughters, Phylicia Burton of Carlisle, and Donneisha Burton of Mt. Holly Springs; grandchildren, Amya Murphy, Josiah Brown, Mason Murphy, and Legend Shannon; and siblings, Eric Burton (Monique) of Harrisburg and Antonia McCray of Atlanta, GA. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends, who were like family. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Philip Burton Jr., Keith Burton Sr., and Lionel Burton.
Phyllis was a graduate of Coatesville Area High School and York Technical Institute. She worked as a CNA for much of her career and was a member of the Carlisle Victory Circle. Phyllis enjoyed cooking, showing her love through food, and loved listening to music. She will be remembered by her contagious laugh and smile. Phyllis was a mother to many, giving and treating everyone like family. She was the glue that held the family together.
Services will be held April 10, 2021 at the Burton residence at 2 PM. Arrangements are being handled by the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Mt. Holly Springs, PA.
