Paul Murray

Paul V. Murray, 87, of Mt. Holly Springs passed away at his home surrounded by his family on December 4, 2018, after a short battle with Metastatic Melanoma. He was born in Mt. Holly Springs to the late Archie W. and Anne (Smith) Murray.

Born and raised in Mt. Holly Springs, Paul was a member of Citizens Fire Co. , Mt. Holly Fish and Game and the South Mountain American Legion Post 674. He was a United States Air Force veteran, serving during the Korean War. An avid fisherman, Paul spent many summers with his wife and family fishing in Delaware and Maryland. He also enjoyed gardening, football, baseball and NASCAR. He was employed at Peter J. Schweitzer/Kimberly Clark for 35 years before leaving to work for Lear Corporation, Farmers Trust Bank, Sheaffer Bothers Auto Parts and Alert Pharmacy.

Surviving is his loving wife of 61 years, Margie (Hamilton) Murray of Mt. Holly Springs; children, Linda Walke and husband, Ted of Harrisburg, Perry Murray  and Nancy Witter and late husband, Chuck, all of Carlisle, Thomas Murray of Mt. Holly Springs and Christine Lander and husband, Dale of Newville; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Paul is preceded in death by an infant brother and brother, Donald L. Murray.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065 with Rev. Richard L. Reese officiating. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery with military honors provided by the Cumberland County Honor Guard.
