Patricia Speck

Patricia Ann Speck, 75, of Mechanicsburg passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021, at Carolyn Croxton Slane Hospice Residence, Harrisburg.

Pat was born in Harrisburg on August 14, 1946, to the oldest daughter of the late Henry L. and Evelyn I. (Kemler) Knaub. She graduated from Northern High School, Class of 1965, and studied at the Harrisburg Cosmetology School. Pat had her own beauty shop for over 20 years. She also worked as an EKG tech at Harrisburg Hospital and for the Moffitt Heart and Vascular Group. She was an active member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church teaching Sunday School and serving on altar guild there. Upon retiring she volunteered at the Harrisburg Hospital NICU as a “cuddler” of infant patients, it was her greatest joy along with making great memories with her family and friends.

Pat is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Paul Eugene Speck; two sons, Brian E. (Laurie) of Dillsburg and Christopher A. (Sharon) of Mechanicsburg; six grandchildren, Nicole (Luke) Ritchey, Amanda (Camdin) Hill, Warren Speck, Wesley Speck, Jared Goulden and Adam Goulden; one great grandson, Bennett Hill; and two sisters Nancy Shughart and Barbara Conley.

A Celebration of Life will be held by the family at a time to be determined.
