Olga Dralios, 86, formerly from Ioannina, Greece, passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at her daughter’s home in Carlisle. Born in Sotira, Albania on October 25, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Zikos and Anastasia Matsangos Koumanelis. Olga was predeceased by her husband, Athanasios Dralios, who passed away on Sept. 14, 2003 and her son, Zikos Drallios, who passed away on May 19, 2001.
In Greece and Boston, Massachusetts she worked as a seamstress, and in Carlisle became a member of the Greek Orthodox Pillars of Orthodoxy Church. After retirement in Greece, Olga loved taking care of her home and spending time with family; she also enjoyed gardening, raising hens, doing needlework, meeting friends for coffee, and watching television.
Olga is survived by her daughters, Anna Kassiani Drallios and her husband Jonathan K. Skaff of Carlisle and Mary Ladas and her husband Vangelis of Greece; her daughter-in-law, Vasiliki Drallios of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts; 7 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 10:30 AM with Father Rodion F. Laskowski officiating at her church, 350 West Old York Rd, Carlisle, PA 17015. Interment will be in the church cemetery and memorial contributions, in Olga’s memory, may be made to the church. Arrangements are being handled by the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Mt.
