Norman L. (Whitey) Rynard , 77,of Mt Holly Springs passed away Friday, February 15, 2013 at his home. Norman was born May 8, 1935 to the late Myrl E. Rynard and Florence Thumma Rynard. He was owner of Rynard & Sheaffer Masonry Construction for 45 years.
He was a graduate of Boiling Springs High School, Class of 1953 where he was a pitcher for the baseball team and later pitched for the Mt Holly Springs Baseball League. He then sponsored a local Little League team for 40 years.
Norman was a member of the Antique Automobile Club of America, Gettysburg Region; Cumberland Valley Corvette Club; Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No 1299 and the BPOE #578.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 59 years, Kathryn Richwine Rynard; one daughter, Deborah (Bob) Stone; a son, Scott (Rusti Mitten); two sisters, Dolores Hostetter and Shirley Morrison; five brothers, Russell (Doris) Rynard, Donald Rynard, Jay (May) Rynard, Ben (Phyllis) Rynard and Greg Weigle; plus numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother Myrl Jr and a sister Joyce Heberlig. He was a wonderful husband and father, and will be sorely missed.
Memorial Services will be held at the Mt Holly Springs Church of God, 602 McLand Rd, Mt Holly Springs on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Richard L. Reese officiating. A visitation and luncheon will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mt Holly Springs Church of God Building Fund, 602 McLand Rd, Mt Holly Springs PA 17065. Arrangements are being handled by the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt Holly Springs PA 17065.
