Norman Walters

Norman E. Walters, 63, of Carlisle, PA, passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2022 at the Carolyn Croxton Slane Hospice Residence in Linglestown, PA. He was born December, 18, 1958 in Carlisle to the late Marlin E. and Hazel J. Smith Walters.

Norm was a 1976 graduate of Boiling Springs High School. He was athletic and especially enjoyed playing tennis and basketball. Traveling was one of his passions. Norm and Cathy honeymooned in Paris, France and enjoyed many trips to the beach. He was employed at Glaxo-Smith Kline until they closed. Norm loved listening to music, had a great sense of humor and was a hard worker. He was a member of BPOE Lodge 578, South Mountain American Legion Post 674, Carlisle VFW Post 477 and the Carlisle Club formerly the White Circle.

Surviving is his wife, Catherine J. Collier Walters and his sister, Deb A. Cowden and her husband Rick of Newport, PA.

A Celebration of Life Service, followed by an Elks Service, will be held on Sunday, January 16, 2022 at 1:00 PM at the Carlisle Elks Lodge 578, 120 W. Ridge St. Carlisle, PA 17013 with the Rev. Rodger Mentzer officiating. Memorial contributions in Norm’s memory may be made to Carolyn’s House, 1701 Linglestown Rd., Harrisburg, PA 17110.
