Nerine Rhoades

Nerine E. Rhoades, 98, of Carlisle, PA, passed away December 7, 2019 in the Thornwald Home. She was born September 5, 1921 in Hummelstown, PA to the late J. Earl and Sarah (Orris) Weibley and was the widow of Joseph E. Rhoades who passed away on December 29, 1987.

Nerine retired from the former C. H. Masland & Sons where she worked as a sewing machine operator. She was a member of Good Shepherd Community United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her sons, Dwight E. Rhoades of Mt. Holly Springs and Steven E. Rhoades of Carlisle. Nerine had 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren and 3 great-great-great grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister, Gayle I. Sheaffer of Carlisle. Nerine was preceded in death by her son Dwayne E. Rhoades.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. She will be buried in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens.
