Nancy Bowers

Nancy L. Bowers, 78, of Carlisle, PA, passed away at her home on Friday, November 6, 2015. She was the widow of Robert E. Bowers Sr. who passed away Oct. 7, 2001 and was born November 8, 1936 in Carlisle, PA to the late George & Mary Failor Morris. Nancy retired from the South Middleton School District where she worked as a cafeteria aide and was a member of the St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Carlisle.  A homemaker, she enjoyed cooking and baking. Nancy dearly loved spending time with her family, her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving are her are two sons, Robert E. Bowers Jr. and wife Cindy  and Terry L. Bowers, both of Carlisle; two daughters, Christina  Ellerman and husband Donald of Newville and Michele Cornman and husband Andrew of Carlisle; 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and her brother, Lawrence Morris of Carlisle. She was predeceased by 13 siblings.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Hollinger Funeral & Crematory, Inc., 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065 with Rev. Trevor Steele officiating. Interment will be in the Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service.
