Myrtle P. Taylor, 94, of Carlisle, PA passed away Saturday, March 2, 2019 at UPMC Pinnacle West Shore. She was born August 31, 1924 in Wilmington, DE to the late William and Bertha Morris Ransom and was the widow of John W. Taylor who passed away August 3, 2003.
Myrtle was a homemaker and an avid collector of jewelry, roosters and baskets. She was an active member of Dickinson Presbyterian Church, a deacon and faithful helper who mentored and encouraged others. Myrtle was past president of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees (Chapter 373), a member of the Farm Women #9, AARP, and the Golden Age Club of Mt. Holly Springs. She loved to travel with her late husband and her many friends.
Surviving is her son, Roy W. and wife, Kathy Taylor of Etters; daughter-in-law, Patricia Taylor of Lexington, GA; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and 11 great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, Thomas L. Taylor and a granddaughter, Tammy Taylor Bell.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 8, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the Dickinson Presbyterian Church, 12 Church Road, Carlisle, PA 17013 with Pastor Neal McCulloch officiating. There will be a viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Dickinson Presbyterian Cemetery. Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to her church.
