Myrtle Calaman

Myrtle H. Calaman, 84, formerly of Carlisle, PA, passed away in Messiah Village, Mechanicsburg on Thursday, June 11, 2015. Born August 9, 1930 in Lewistown, PA, she was the daughter of the late John M. and Lillie Flickinger Hutchison and was the widow of Edward S. Calaman who passed away on November 1, 2012.

A member of the Second Presbyterian Church, Carlisle, Myrtle belonged to the Circle group and taught Sunday school. An active volunteer, she enjoyed helping others and supported Project Share and the Senior Center.

Myrtle is survived by her children, Edwina C. (Jeffrey) Horick and John W. (Diane) Calaman , both of Carlisle; grandchildren, Nathan (Elizabeth) Horick and Michaela Calaman; step grandchildren, Nicole Galbraith, Gretchen Oates, and Brandon Horick; brothers, John (Thelma) Hutchison of Carlisle and James (Andi) Hutchison of Mechanicsburg; along with several nephews and nieces.

Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of the Second Presbyterian Church, 528 Garland Drive, Carlisle, PA 17013 with the Rev.
