Merily (Molly) June Rose, 93, passed away on April 18, 2025 at Church of God Nursing Home, Carlisle, PA. She was the wife of the late Carol V. Rose.
Born in Carlisle, PA on June 6, 1931, she spent most of her life in Gardners, PA raising her family and helping her husband on their fruit farmette. She was the daughter of the late Guy Sr. and Tressie Mullen (Kuhn). Molly graduated from Boiling Springs High School, was married at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Gardners, PA and a member for years, and, in recent years a member of the Gettysburg Foursquare Church, Gettysburg, PA.
A much beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Molly loved being surrounded by her family and friends, flower gardening, traveling, and going to concerts and the theater. She especially loved her trips to Colorado with her daughter, visiting her grandson in Arizona, and past trips with her niece and late sister.
She is survived by her daughter Suzanne Rose, son James E. Rose and wife Debra, grandson Shawn Rose and his husband Paul, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Gladys (Glady) Hefelfinger (Noel), brothers Kenneth Mullen (Kay) and Guy Mullen, Jr. (Nancy), their spouses, and 10 sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws and their spouses.
The family wishes to thank hospice, as well as the support of family and friends.
A graveside service to honor Molly and Carol Rose will be held May 9, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Westminster Memorial Gardens in Carlisle, PA with Pastor Mark Chestnut officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org) or to the Arbor Day Foundation (ww.arborday.org) to plant a tree in her memory. Arrangements are being handled by Hollinger Funeral Home and Crematory, Mt. Holly Springs, PA.
