Max V. Weary, 86, of Mt. Holly Springs, PA, passed away on February 2, 2025, in the UPMC West Shore Hospital. He was born February 14, 1938, in Mt. Holly Springs to the late Russell and Reba (McLaughlin) Weary.
Max was a United States Air Force Veteran. In his spare time, he enjoyed going to Kecks Store, hunting, fishing, and was an avid customer at the Hamilton Restaurant, where he would go to breakfast with the guys and Johns Hideaway Restaurant. He attended many block shoots at the Mt. Holly Fish and Game and Adams County Fish and Game. Max was a member of Mt. Zion Crossroads Church in Carlisle, American Legion Post 674 in Mt. Holly Springs.
Surviving is his loving wife, Nancy J. (Hein) Weary of Mt. Holly Springs; children, Kathy Landis (Brian Norris) of Hummelstown and Michel E. Weary (Amy Jo) of Gardners; grandchildren, Tyler Weary, Mackenzie Dishong, Russell and Jeffrey Landis; great grandchildren, Eden Claire Weary; and brother, Dennis Weary. In addition to his parents, Max was preceded in death by his brother, Jack Weary.
Memorial Services will be held Friday, February 7, 2025, at 5:00 PM in the Mt Zion Crossroads Church, 420 Park Dr, Carlisle, PA 17015 with Pastor Matt Plant officiating. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his church, Mt. Zion Crossroads Church. Arrangements are being handled by Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Mt. Holly Springs.
