Mary Cavanagh

Mary T. Cavanagh, 84, of Cumberland Crossings, Carlisle, PA and formerly of Cornwall, NY passed away on Friday, July 17, 2015 in the Carlisle Regional Medical Center.  Born January 13, 1931 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Louis & Wilham Gabby Jurkiewicz, she was the widow of James M. Cavanagh, SR.  Mary attended  St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Washingtonville, NY.

She is survived by her daughter, Denise M. Cavanagh of Highland Mills, NY and her son, James (Linda) Cavanagh of Carlisle, PA; and two grandsons, Spencer Cavanagh of Williamsport, PA and Jarrett Cavanagh of Carlisle, PA.

A  Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at 1:30 PM in the St. Thomas of Canterbury Catholic Church, 340 Hudson St., Cornwall, NY with Rev. Andrew Kurzyna celebrant. Interment will be in the Orange County Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Goshen, NY. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 1:00PM until 1:30PM at St. Thomas of Canterbury Catholic Church.
