Mary Z. Barbuzanes

Mary Z. Barbuzanes, 102, of Carlisle, PA, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2024, in the Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home, Carlisle. She was born February 3, 1922, in Milton, PA, to the late Peter and Rallia (Catharu) Zaffary and was the widow of James Barbuzanes who passed away in 1970.

Mary was founder/owner of James Shoe Store for over 50 years and the Jack and Jill Childrens Clothing Store in Waynesboro, PA.

Surviving Mary is her daughter, Lola J. Rigas of North Carolina, six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by her son, Anthony J. Barbuzanes who passed away in 2018, daughter Froso I. Touloumes who passed away in 2022, and brother, James Zaffary.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the Pillars of Orthodoxy Church, 350 W Old York Road, Carlisle, PA 17015. A viewing will be held Monday, February 12, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Pillars of Orthodoxy Church. There will be a memorial luncheon followed by the Funeral Services on Tuesday.
