Marie Johnson

Marie Johnson, 91, of Carlisle, PA, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at the Church of God Home, Carlisle. Marie was born February 26, 1926 in Herstal, Belgium to the late Nester M. and Louise I. (Couline) Hoyoux. She is the widow of Alvie E. Johnson, who passed away in July, 1986.

Marie loved to knit and crochet baby blankets and hats for newborn babies. She enjoyed traveling, especially her trips to Belgium.

She is survived by two children, William C. Johnson and wife, Barbara of Cumming, GA and Marylou Price of Carlisle; 5 grandchildren, Jennifer Amsley of GA, Leslie Jumper Jr., Susan Croft, Stacy Frick and Alissa Price all of Carlisle; 12 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place in the Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are being handled by Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Mt. Holly Springs, PA.
