Louetta W. Snyder, 92 formally of Carlisle passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 in the Harrisburg Hospital. She was born October 20, 1921 in Carlisle to the late John W. and Sarah Jane Evelhoch Wagner and was the widow of Charles W. Snyder who passed away on New Year’s Eve 2007.
Louetta was a seamstress at the Trostle Garment Factory in Mt. Holly Springs; the oldest living member of the Yocumtown Church of God in Etters and she attended church every Sunday at Country Meadows Retirement Village where she was living. Louetta was skilled at crocheting, making alterations, suits and clothes. She loved her family dearly.
She is survived by two sons; Robert W. (Kathleen) Snyder of Mechanicsburg and William (Ondrea) Snyder of Gardners; a daughter, Pamela J. (Ben) Dressler of Lewisberry; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter.
Services will be held Monday, October 6, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065 with Rev. Dennis Fulk officiating. There will be a viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pennsylvania Association for the Blind AFB, 555 Gettysburg Pike, Suite A 300, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.
